Tales of the Darksome Thorn is an up and coming fantasy adventure series by Jeremy Higley. The first installment is The Son of Dark. It was published July 14, 2016 by Class Act Books. The second installment, Dead Forsworn, is still being written.

Tales of the Darksome Thorn is a high fantasy, set in the land of Duskain on a planet named Vessel. It follows the adventures of Skel, a young wizard in training who finds himself at the center of an important prophecy that no one perfectly understands. The first book, The Son of Dark, deals with Skel learning about the prophecy as forces both good and evil are influencing him to fulfill their own version of it.
